Here’s your weekly recap—the most viewed news stories on our site for the week ended October 5, 2024.

Two brands are celebrating the big screen with Hollywood-inspired collections.

Bath & Body Works expanded its partnership with Netflix in an Emily in Paris collection. With four scents and packaging designs, this Parisian collection is designed with ‘trend-forward’ fragrances.

Ulta Beauty also launched a comprehensive collection including makeup, accessories, hair care, skincare products, and more, all inspired by the upcoming movie musical Wicked. The collection features Ariana Grande’s r.e.m. beauty, who stars as Glinda in the film. The packaging for the collection features pink and green, the notable colors of the film, and includes characters, movie icons, and the Wicked logo.

Still trending was e.l.f.’s collaborative case launch. The Caboodles Case is reminiscent of 1987 and holds all your lippies.

Another popular news item was the NAFDAC’s batch recall of Dove’s cream bar soap from a factory in Germany for a chemical impurity.
